This activity begins on the shores of the Blue Lagoon in the parish of Sete Cidades, one of the places with unforgettable landscapes on the west coast of the island of São Miguel (approximately 45 minutes by car from the city of Ponta Delgada).
At the starting point, we will give you a 15 minute safety briefing, then demonstrate how to use the electric bike and GPS, and finally distribute the equipment. Once we’ve completed this stage, you will be ready for an exclusive adventure!
Start the tour by cycling towards Cumeeira Grande, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the coast and the Sete Cidades caldera, where you can pass the Cumeeira viewpoint and the highest point, Pico da Cruz, at 845m.
Then, after passing the Nove Janelas Aqueduct, you have the opportunity to visit the Lagoa do Canário and the most popular viewpoint on the island of São Miguel: Miradouro da Grota do Inferno.
After enjoying the beautiful scenery over the various lakes, you will continue along the Regional Road where you will find a wide variety of hydrangeas with their different colors and even another lake, Lagoa do Santiago, and the opportunity to stop at the Cerrado das Freiras viewpoint.
To end this tour in a more relaxed way, pedal along the shores of Lagoa Azul where you can enjoy the greenery of nature.
