  • Ideal for moments of fun, adventure and connection with nature, with jumping, waterfall climbing and hiking in a wild environment;
  • Body-Mind experiencies.

Itinerary

Stream hiking + Yoga takes place in two different areas.

Distance between each activity: 10 min by car.

Yoga: The meeting point will be in the Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, in one of the most beautiful places on the island, surrounded by waterfalls. Upon arrival, you will be given a yoga mat and have a 5-minute walk to the place where the class will take place. The class is designed for moments of relaxation, stretching and breathwork.

After the yoga class, we head to the village of Lomba São Pedro, more specifically the Moinho do Félix trail, to begin the Stream Hiking activity.

Stream Hiking: This activity takes place on the Moinho de Félix Trail, one of the most beautiful on S.Miguel Island. After putting on our gear, we’ll take a 15-minute walk in the middle of nature until we reach the first waterfall, where we’ll be given a safety briefing.

We’ll walk from the bottom to top, where at each waterfall you’ll have the opportunity to create moments of fun, such as jumping, climbing and interacting with the water. There is always the alternative of being able to go around the waterfalls in case you feel uncomfortable in the water and throughout the walk you will be able to enjoy the beauty of being immersed in a wilder space and thus enjoy the walk to your heart’s content.

MATERIAL TO BRING

  • Swimsuit: To be worn at home (if possible);
  • Hair elastic: For reasons of comfort and safety, we advise people with long hair to tie their hair back;
  • Glasses: If you wear glasses, we advise you to attach them to a cord to avoid dropping them and breaking them or losing them in the river. We recommend putting your glasses inside your wetsuit to store them. We do not recommend wearing contact lenses, as they are easily lost when you jump into the water;
  • Medication: Any personal medication that may be needed during the tour (e.g. asthma inhaler, sugar packets for diabetics, etc.);
  • Knee/ankle support: For those suffering from joint problems, we recommend using an elastic support for better stability and to avoid injury;
  • Towel and dry clothes to put on after the walk;
  • Individual water bottle: We recommend drinking water before and after the walk;
  • Comfortable clothes for the yoga class.
